Crown Lengthening

Perhaps your tooth is decayed, broken below the gum line, or has insufficient tooth structure for a restoration, such as a crown or bridge. Crown lengthening adjusts the gum and bone level to expose more of the tooth so it can be restored.

Any restoration has to end on solid tooth structure. If there is not solid tooth structure above the gum line then we can do a simply procedure to reshape excess gum and bone tissue to expose more of the natural tooth. This can be done to one tooth, to even your gum line, or to several teeth to expose a natural, broad smile.

The procedure is done painlessly with local anesthetic. It usually takes no more than an hour. You can expect to return to normal activities immediately after leaving the office.
